Big 4 Tax
Hi everyone!
Does anyone here know more about Big 4 Tax?
How is the working life compared to audit? Is there peak/non peak too?
Also, how's the pay and promotions/increments like for Tax as compared to audit?
Most people automatically link Big 4 to audit, so I can't find much information about tax around here. It's an area I'm looking into but I'm not sure if I should try for tax or audit!
Do you guys know if we can apply for multiple job roles in 1 big 4 or must we only choose one out of audit/tax/advisory?
Thanks!!

Tax is same as audit in terms of pay & progression. The word advisory just for show if you are below Director level, mainly is just tax preparations and reporting.

tax can be slightly harder to get in as there are lesser vacancies. The working hours are definitely better than audit by you still need to OT. During peak, you can stay up to 1am as well, depending on your department.

With 2 years of corporate tax experience, should I apply for senior associate position and ask for at least 4k++ of starting pay?

yes. 4k is the salary for senior associate anyway. you don't really need to ask cos big 4 pays you standard salary at the lower ranks. all employees at the same rank have the same pay, at most +- 100-200.
