may i know is it impt to have skills like excel vba or bloomberg in the in physical trading? or rather are these skills needed in the industry as compared to banking?

Why would they have physical commodity ops? I don't think they are allowed to under the banking act.

They only do commodity derivatives trading. No physical settlement.

This would be under the expertise of commodities players who are involved in physical trading.
