Basic 2.3k is roughly there, transport allowance $850 is quite high, most companies are giving $500-$700.

2.3k might be too high since you have no experience. Diploma current starting pay ranges from 1.7-2.1k. As for transport allowance, usually company got fix policy not up for negotiation.

If I were you, I would ask the interviewer the salary range for this position and work towards that, if you would like to get a foot into this industry.

Having a vehicle does not justify that you can be in sales line. Always remember that.

Fresh from the force will cast doubts on a lot of recruiter. First of all, zero experience in sales. Zero experience in private sectors and markets. Now, tell me how can you justify in getting into the company in the first place.

Humble might be the only way to proof yourself.

Default Zuby.in/salary

Generally, the salary depends upon which department you belong to. Some of the factors that should be considered are listed below:

1. The salary of a trainee in R&D department is different from that of a trainee in Quality department.

2. Your credentials also play a vital role in the salary. The more your qualification match with the job profile, more is the chance of you earning more money.

Check out this website: zuby.in/salary. It gives a detailed description of the current salary status.

It really depends on how much you want the job. If you want to be at least competitive to the fresh diploma grads, stating $1.7k + $500 car allowance is a safe bet.

But you no relevant exp & there is always a stigma for regulars, so if you want the job just lowering pay is not enough, need to demonstrate the right attitude during interview

u should consider staying in rsaf. if no exp and just diploma not likely to get 2k & above. for sales job many poly grads willing to accept low pay to gain exp and compensate from the sales incentive part.

i have a diploma friend who accepted a sales job with a automation engineering firm at 1.4k, but he is a good performer and make back from good bonus.

Kelvin, no one is going to penalize you for not putting your expected salary on the interview form without first knowing the nature of the jobs and the competitive pay scale. If the job sounds interesting and got a lot of prospect, I think you won't mind about the basic pay. It is about how much can you bring in for the company and from there, you will get your commission or incentive by year end.

Don't be intimated by filling up your expectation. If the company is ethical, they will like to interview you based on your presentation skills and honesty, since you do not have much experience to talk about. Probably, they will shoot you some questions on what projects you have done in Poly and the relevancy to their products.
