civil service - hop to another ministry
hi all
wondering if a civil servant wishes to switch to a job in another ministry but without relevant experience for the new job, does the person need to take a pay cut?

if there offer u the job, means they find u suitable. No pay cut, no change in job grade, same employment terms.

Technically yes, you can use your years of experience in your previous ministry as justification for promotion. But quite difficult in reality. Because you have to understand that there will always be a 'queue' for promotion in your new ministry. U have not contributed in the new ministry to warrant a promotion.
It will be easier to get a higher grade (MX 10 or MX11) if u are hired from outside instead of internal transfer.
