Never heard of any MD that is paid <500k base, bonus is definitely much higher than 35% also....

ermmmm no my bonus is quite bad, maybe around 12.5% my annual ( like 1 month - 1.5 months).
For a trade-off I usually get to leave work before 6 (official knock-off: 5.30). Not many banks let you go back so early.

Dear All,
Thanks for kind replies. I graduated with 1st class in UOL, therefore started off in compliance and then made the switch to FI Credit. Drawing high 4 range which I find I'm quite underpaid for this role, though I understand getting promoted and rising internally doesn't guarantee a huge pay rise. Furthermore, its a small foreign bank.
What I do is to provide inputs on CSA as credit enhancements, FI Credit Reviews for Treasury Limits, tracking PFE for different product lines and also VaR and stress tests for different shock scenarios.

I have always found FI credit to be quite niched somehow I think corporate credit has better prospects / opportunities. Or switch to be a FI RM instead?

Seriously, not a single chance.
There are too many talents on the street with degrees and masters.
IB are down sizing and woul suggest you have a related degrees to play on a common ground.
