Geo 2&3 salaries already very competitive.

If geo 4&5 still get the worst again really shitty.

Imagine geo 4&5, 2% vs geo 3 of 9%

yes, hentak kaki at geo4 is really the worst, especially if you served through the 2022 salary revision and the recent increases to fresh grad teacher starting salaries. Your base salary will lag behind the high performing/high flyer geo3s for sure.

Worse still, it's harder to get a better perf grade at geo4 compared to at geo3 because the expectations are higher. So you're screwed in terms of base salary and screwed in terms of PB.

3rd year into the service. Im a GEO2.Wonder what did I do wrong to not get promoted? Wouldn’t it be a joke if I don’t get promoted to GEO3 after 3 years into the service?

GEO2 to GEO3 promotion is usually about T&L and basic work management. There's issues with your fundamentals, talk to your ROs or SL.

You have to reflect. I was a SAF scholar who got promoted to AYH in his second year of service. Yes still am a BT but at GEO4.. If your work performance is not that of a GEO3, it is absurd to think you deserve the promotion.

And dont think too low of your work experience too. In my school, people with decades of experience report to me on matters. Even a teacher with >30 years of service.

Dont just focus on work performance. Perception matters too. How do you sell yourself? Do you walk with authority and confidence?
