Maternity is an entitlement and recognition of the sacrifices mothers have to make to support SG population numbers. It's not like they are chillaxing during ML. You can go on maternity too.

TBH, I'm fine being the OIC for my CCA, cause I love my CCA and I have a very strong interest in helping the CCA members to win a Championship for the school. But now, I think I better take better care of myself. LOL.

This is my 3rd year leh. If I take 4 years to be promoted to GEO3, I rather stay GEO2 and do the GEO2 job scope all the way. I will just reject all IC roles and say I am happy and comfortable staying in this grade.

The MOE always said don't burn yourself out, but the system is forcing us or at least myself to burn. And the worst thing is burn until charcoal already, still not recognised.

Effort =/= Impact. GEO2 KRAs T&L is bread and butter, it's likely you have T&L issues. CCA & comm work is supplementary. Speak to your RO.

SEO 1 B grader here, adding both mine and my JH's to the list. JH is GEO4, A grader (3.4). Anyway he worked very very hard to cover AYH role (arguably the most xiong role currently). Saw some comments about how people tie grade to networking. This one is not based on networking, but pure grit and hard work. His sincerity will move you that kind and he is those genuine problem solver kind. Nowadays the ranking panels very vicious one. Nobody can just move up purely based on networking. People will shoot you down de. Even minority can open their mouth when the cluster sup comes. So people who can genuinely convince all MMs to the point no one will go against him/her, will be the ones deserving the A grade, because they don't need to use small tricks to network etc. They naturally have the network from the sincerity they offer.

In other schools, you take maternity. You get low c.

For this JH, how is his health? In my school, those who perform like that, mostly have health issues due to overwork.
