120k SGD PA excluding bonus was my starting pay. Wife starting pay was 75k pa but she had 15 months bonus on first year. We invest heavily with our savings through 2009
Through hard work and proper investing we had 1 million in net assets before 30. I know of others who have achieved more than us.

You have a very small mind, everything must think big. Not everyone is like you contend to make 7k a month as a loser slave worker.
Many bankers and people in the oil industry or ship broker make >400k yearly. Plus you buy a $2million condo within 3 months can sell for $2.5mil making 500k instantly. Also there are many experience forex/stock/commodity traders make >1million every year as part time.
Think big.

It is very possible and I have done it myself. Not trying to show off or anything, just to share knowledge, not sure why you are so negative.
2005 - Graduate from SIM, join civil service, starting salary about 35k annual (wanted to get rich fast and experiment with playing shares and unit trust, make about 60k first year)
2006 - After exploring around, decide to go into forex trading as it allow more leverage compared to margin share trading or buying property (make 170k)
2007 - Very good markets, reinvest my savings from salary and profits last year and make another 650k
2008 - Lost 70k
2009 to 2012 - Improve my trading strategy to make consistent returns of about 400-500k p.a.
I am now still in civil service, own a fully paid condo worth $1.8mil and $2mil++ in fixed deposit / shares and the rest use to further generate forex profit. It is doable as long as you open your mind.

Wow that is impressive. I've been thinking of pursuing a sideline like part-time trading too, but I'm not sure I have the calibre to succeed like you did. Would you kindly share any tips for success? Like, what does it to take be a successful trader?

my wife is in legal, i'm in IT. we started at normal fresh grade pay (2K+ per month)
i know one lady around my age, also started in a normal job but managed to invest even more shrewdly in property such that her net worth now exceed $3M without having spouse income

I feel so poor compare to all of you. I and wife compare annual income ~250k. 30 years old this year & wifey 27 years with 1 kid.
Just move into our condo bought for $1.6mil with about 800k loan left. Still have addtional 80-100k side income by managing blog shop and trading in shares. We hope to fully pay up the condo in 5 years time.

Making money is easier than most think it is. The first crucial lesson that one needs to understand is that investing is way more important in wealth accumulation than your monthly income.
Believe it or not. My annual income last year is 36k. Exactly 3k a month. Contract basis with no bonus. My investment return last year, including paper gains, is 573k. I spend about 8 hours a day working my day job earning 36k a year. I spend 1 hour every night managing my investments. The effort-payout ratio is totally lopsided
Again it is not how much your day job pays you but how well you invest
