A graphic designer looking for a career change

I have been in this industry for 7 years and currently working as an Art Director in a small design firm.

Recently I have grown weary of the industry as it seems to bring me nowhere (in terms of stability and remuneration) thus I am looking for a career change.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could provide some advice on feasible industries or jobs which I could try it out.

lol....one of my friends wanted to jump to the graphic design line. She is now in accounts.

Mash, I have no answer for you but I think the graphics design space is too crowded. Anyone can start a small company and take away your clients. So the entry barrier is too low. I support your move out of this and look for something else. But then again, you have to think what other skills you have.

Work in the civil service? For example, DesignSingapore Council:

I'm sure you background would be useful in other job in govt like MICA, WDA...
