Been there.
A word of advice: go freelance.
Firstly, you'll make more money. If you can get $2500 for a writing / filming contract, and you can do 3 at once (as I know most freelancers can), you're in the $7,500 a month category. Why the hell would you want to join their in-house team?
Secondly, Mediacorp is more about who you know than how good you are. Just like 3/4 of the companies out there. That's why they churn out one crap drama after another. Especially Channel 8.
Which isn't to say Korean dramas are any less s**t, but there you go.
Thirdly, this forum is mostly for bankers who don't have a life, and possess crippled imaginations. Or for the wannabes who aspire to join them. There is less creative talent around here than you'd find in a dead stoat, so you're asking in the wrong place.

That's not true. I am a banker and I have a life. I end work at 2pm, plays golf and zips around in a BMW. I am creative too. In my free time, I write poems and play in a band twice a week. Life's good...
