I'm management in a local bank. Got 11 months, up from 6 months last year. Before I was retrenched from a foreign bank in 2008, got 18 months some years.

Don't join German coy if you can avoid it. The one I'm working for despite a booming economy last year paid only 1.5months on top of AWS. The year before that in 2009 0month, only AWS. Mind you, even in a recession year, company was still profitable and business volume grew 30% in 2009. The best ever was 2.5months in 2008. Sad story.

ST Marine paid an average of 6.5 month bonus for year 2010. However, they only pay first year employees a fixed quantum and only pay the 2010 bonus in March 2011, meaning January, February and March 2011 have no bonus.

Eg

if you join ST marine on 1st sept 2010, mean in march 2011, you will get the bonus, a pro-rated one.

1st sept till 31 dec 2010 = u work 3 months out of 12 months(full year), mean your bonus will be 3/12 or 25% of the average bonus pay out ie 25% of 6.5 month = 1.625 months of bonus.

I know NOL bonus is minimum 10% of total annual package (13 month).
I think it comes out to less than 2months.
