Disagree--was an excellent launching pad for many SWE careers, including mine. Yes need to speak chinese for sure but that's a reflection of the way the winds are blowing in this region as well.

3- 5 YoE as a dev, earning ~450K SGD after taxes here in US. Formerly shopee dev as well.

standard shopee pay for those not swe la, tiagong fresh grad pay for data analyst around 4.3-4.5k this year, even ministries pay more than that lol joke company

6.5-7.2 is typical range, depending on your honours, interview perf and intern exp
