How far back do past employment checks go? Insurance Firm (non-agent)

HR experts,

How far back do background checks go for past employers in the Insurance Sector? Not applying for an Insurance Agent role. I understand due to MAS strict regulation checks have to go up to past 10 years for banking sales or any financial advisory roles. Thanks.
