NUS vs NTU - Does Rankings Matter?

NTU tops Asia in QS university rankings; NUS drops to 2nd

NTU tops Asia in QS university rankings; NUS drops to 2nd - Channel NewsAsia

While NUS is the national university founded in 1905, NTU has recently caught up and even surpassed NUS in the QS Rankings for 2018.

Do you all trust the rankings? Do you think employers will have a greater preference for NUS graduates over NTU?
