Agree. The best way to get promoted at Accenture is to stay on one project long term.
IMHO, this stunts your growth as you don't learn too much.

Care to share why you leave Accenture?

I didn't want to continue in consulting. I found that its not really for me as I had other interests I knew I would be / am better at.

What other interests are those? My friends who left basically didn't want to sacrifice their personal life on death march projects for the sake of getting promoted.

Actually Accenture does have a small management consulting arms that brings in technological consulting pipeline. So if you manage to be there, probably you could a those few lucky ones

This is right.

But as a rule of thumb, you need to be rated once at each level. So a high flyer can expect to promote every 2 years since ACN runs solely on meritocracy or based on how much managers fight for you at the annual round table.

Been quoted 6 to 7 for an Analyst to reach Snr Mgr but again, you have to be at the top of your cohort every time.

But the good thing is, ACN pays pretty well except annual increment is crap and bonus is capped at 2 months

Analyst - 4.1k
Consultant - 5.8k to 6.5k
Manager - 9k to 10k

Partner or 'MD'- (there are at least 4 levels in what i know).. so obviously, it increases from junior to senior..
so for analyst level, it's around 10 percent increment each year?

No, increment is solely based on merit, maybe 5% would be average but expect salary to stagnate at each level until promoted

for average performer, salary increment is 12-15%. promotion is usually another 25% on top. average performer can get promoted every 2-3 years.
