again, another person who dont read and assume and i really wonder about the 'scholar' status.

First, it is true not all ministries and SB paid the same and not everyone start on the same scale; certain SB that requires very specific set of skills (e.g. DSTA, MAS) have much higher STARTING salaries than their counterparts to capture the 'talents' and also because certain positions are indeed NOT OPEN to FT. but eventually, they even up because of different pay adjustment criteria.

In GENERAL (and I meant around 90% of CS), and if i want to be generous, 85% of CS are getting 'average' pay benchmark against their counterparts but never as high as what most people said here. It is actually bad karma to paint an over-nice image for people in CS because people might be jealous of those in CS but they really do not earn that much and yet OT alot.

N LOL at that idiot saying that MOST people can reach 6-7k in 7 years in private sector. Must have been earning 3k himself after 10 years and wanting EVERYONE to feel as bad as him.

lol who cant read, he didnt say MOST. nowadays generation is different from old generation, 6-7k after 7 years is possible for the average grad. hdb last time only 100k, now its 300k. stop comparing with pay of the previous generation. grad still earn 3k after 10 years? might as well have gone to poly.

Hi guys.. for an applicant with a second lower Hons. applying for a stat board entry level/assistant manager position, what would be an ideal monthly salary range and annual salary (if im not wrong, this includes components such as 13th month bonus, etc.) such that its not too far off what the HR is willing to offer? fresh graduate with ns?

LTA pass degree with ns - 3.4k
MOH second lower with ns - 3497

annual salary = monthly x15.5 or x16 (be conservative)

if its me i will just put 3.4k or even 3.3k... at the end of the day, they will offer you base on your qualification, and will not overpay/underpay u bcos of wat you stated in your expected salary.

if female, minus 200-300 from the monthly figures.

I know someone working in Ministry of Culture and Youth.
Base salary around 3.1k per month and shocking: around 1k allowance a month.
She is a fresh grad with 2nd lower honors nus.

Is the allowances normal?!?!?!
And do all ministries give it and for what???

Hi it is not shift allowance, normal working hours 830-6pm.
Additionally, it is not written on pay slip and she has no idea what kinda allowances are those too.
It's around 1.3k allowance.
Any other ministries with this kinda allowances?
