Rule of the thumb when it comes to civil service is that they’ll always match up your last drawn salary in the private sector with a small increment as long as it’s within the pay scale. (Do note that some sneaky HR depts will try to play around with AWS) However if you ain’t drawing 6K in your current job, you won’t be drawing that amount especially given the current COVID situation. |

Currently drawing 6k+ Applying for a new role in another SB What should my asking salary be? Also will you keep your YIS maintain salary or ask for higher and forego my 10years additional leave scheme? The new role ask me to state my asking and didnt ask for my current drawn. Key thing is they told me the role I applied is specialist track (I’m currently on the generalist MX) so I’m thinking if I can ask for increment |
