Sometimes, there is a hiring cycle... If you pay attention, they are usually dragging it out for March 2012... The economy is expected to pick up only in the later half of the year, so expect companies to drag their feet...

What is the salary of a typical LTA engineer holding a managerial post in early 40s at the peak of career? I heard not more than 8k a month?

assuming a degree holder join LTA as an engineer from fresh grad @ 2.9k starting, 5 years down the road, how much will he get by now?

What the hell, still got people thinking about being an engineer in SG? People solve 1+1=? per day also get higher pay then you solving that multi-integral-wavelet-complex-analysis ****. Apply to be sales or crm better
