This is like your secondary school or JC reunion, where the successful ones tend to show up and share stories, while those not doing so well will find excuses not to come. And you wonder why every ex-classmate you meet at reunions is so successful.
This is where you get it totally wrong, those who are successful will not show up, coz you are already out of his league. Those who talk much are those who did moderately, and those who talk less are those who did not do too well.

The unsuccessful like to play down others' achievements by comparing with pointless benchmarks like bill gates, so that everyone is deemed as unsuccessful as themselves when compared with bill gates; or saying that everyone will die one day and become the same as them.

Like someone comparing the financial services guy's landed property compared with a burial plot. Isn't that even more pointless?

50 years old, earning only $100k pa
Finance, 2 kids, condo worth $1m fully paid
I'm feeling depressed looking at all the 30 somethings here earning so much
Are these guys real? Or am I really a loser?
If they are real, no wonder property prices keep rising.

Hi all,

I have a sad story to tell. I have been working hard for a large MNC for the past 15 years. I help grow the company. And now I am retrenched due to office politics. I am only 45 years old with lots of responsibiities.
