Does anyone know if GIC will conduct background check on applicants' credit score? I have some unsecured personal loans.

some of the atas organ/SB/Ministry are sibey touchy when it comes to potential job applicant having unsecured loans that is X number of times of the monthly salary

financial embarrassment may be grounds for asking the person to leave

They may do sampling checks on credit background on a random basis.
Sometimes, they may do it because of a tip off.
For e.g., someone sends them a screenshot of this discussion and it will trigger a check on the newly recruited.
Then, they sack the person as an example to all the rest.

if cross the threshold, can be grounds for dismissal/exit from service

Always good to explain before the back ground check agency find out themselves … trust me if the amount is big and u don’t talk abt it upfront it reflects very badly on u
