Why would you not want to mention what bank are you hopping to? One day they will eventually find out (e.g. Linkedin).

U update your linkedin as soon as u start working at the new company?
LOL bro it's LinkedIn not Facebook. Wait 3-6 months then update... By then old employers don't give a fk.

Hey, I'm facing something similar but the difference was that I interned at the place before accepting a conversion but would now like to renege. How do you suggest I bring it up to the HR/managers especially since we have worked together before? Thanks in advance!

1. Is it allowed to renege before starting? How do you do it?
2. Can I accept Bank B's offer before I renege Bank A's offer? In other words, accept both offers.
Thank you.

Yes you can, I've done it before as a graduate. When it comes to these things, your interests must take the absolute priority. HR's feelings will be hurt, hiring manager might be mildly annoyed (hiring managers are usually more understanding) but they don't matter, you do.

Thanks for the reply! May I know how did you navigate the negative feelings and renege nicely?

There's no nice way to do this, but the most professional way is to call HR, thank them for organizing the interviews, apologize for the trouble and then say that your dream opportunity has come and you need to pursue it. Do not tell them which company it is. Try to keep the call as short as you can.
If you want be courteous, you could also call/email the hiring manager and say the same thing, but call HR first.
Also do it ASAP so that they can contact other candidates.
All the best and congratz for finding a better offer!

just email the HR or the recruiter and tell them you're no longer interested.
who da fuk cares, recruiters / hr burn bridges all the time and waste people's time. just tell them "i got better offer, i dont want this, bye"

big 4 recruiters are very used to resignations. not to worry and just be polite in the email.
