Hi. Am offered a 2-year contract for mx12, 3.8k. No NS, local uni and 2.5years of experience from private. Is this a reasonable offer? Felt like I got lowballed too.

If everyone got "lowballed" then it means that no one got lowballed. That's the actual rate. My starting three years ago was less than you, though I had more experience than you when I started.

IMHO CS pay is out of touch w cost of living and uncompetitive w private.

have to depend on what is the job role, type of employment, bossess etc..

Ministry u work in the govt
SB u work for the govt

One civil one public
Both servants

Is it still "worth" to join PS then? I have an offer from a ministry and an offer from private. Private offering about $300 more with awesome benefits but job scope is somewhat mundane and prospect seems unknown. In this case, which will be a better option to go for?

SB higher pay.
