Minimally, for the same amount of workload expect the same amount of resources booking each year, not dwindling resources booking. At this rate, if there’s no cyclical peak and you’re asked to work back to back at a high functioning level throughout the year, with annual leave approval granted based on when they allow you (aka based on when engagements don’t need you), they will leave, especially since the first two year pay is only paying peanuts.

It’s not about working overtime or not. it's about having some empathy for the employees health.

Look, just discard this idea of having fixed working hours.

Think of it like you have a project, and that project has a deadline. You just have to finish it before then, even if it means looking at it over weekend, public holidays, midnight, whatever.

And there is an endless stream of projects occupying the whole year, but it gets worse at certain times.

Only in your first year do you get "off the bench" time, which mean no utilisation. That is also not good news because it means you are under utilised and will affect your performance appraisals.

Underutilisation or not, you will still get paid the same amount of bonus as those who are not fully booked. Overutilisation: good job admin

everything is project-based, and every project has a fixed deadline, and once you're done with a project you'll be immediately slotted to the next. so what weekend? what off peak?

Just curious, what happens if you miss a deadline?

With Gen Z not wanting to go into audit industry or accounting industry

These Gen Z really jeopardize the Gen X and Gen Y career progression

lol internal deadline, backlog, cannot pass probation/promote etc etc

External statutory deadline, acra fine or director summon to court, damage client relationship (but u can always savage it by lowering the fees)
