Depends on whether it was budgeted for. Last yr, it was still given because it was already budgeted for. After the govt has give up so much assistance, it is now everyone's guess.

Was it based on specialist scheme? I got it for one yr only (am doing IT). Then it was removed for my grade MX10 because the circular sent out was that the remuneration is on par with private.

When Teo Chee Hean first announced about this remuneration, it was to incentivise ppl to take up engineering and IT work. So, don't believe what is being sold to you.

Unregistered 01-06-2021 10:42 PM

How long does it typically take for an MX13(1) to be promoted to MX12?

Also, is this progression for an MX13(1) to be promoted to MX12 more of a norm? Or more of an exception?

Unregistered 03-06-2021 03:40 PM

Will be a huge surprise and possible uproar if there is any mid year bonus

Unregistered 07-06-2021 02:18 PM

I know in early 2000s, CS still practices double promotions for high CEP/AO. Does such practices still exist today?

Should be end June. I am pretty sure the announcement would be zero anyway.

Unregistered 10-06-2021 09:19 AM

Unregistered 12-06-2021 10:15 AM

Unregistered 15-06-2021 02:25 PM

2019 announcement on 13 june thurs
2020 announcement on 18 june thurs
Perhaps 2021 announcement will be on 17 june thurs

Unregistered 15-06-2021 08:20 PM

0.2 quite likely

Unregistered 15-06-2021 10:52 PM

May I check, the yearly increment is given in June? How about promotion? When is it given or is it right after yearly appraisal?

Unregistered 16-06-2021 01:39 PM

0.25 my guess

Unregistered 16-06-2021 01:59 PM

Quite surprised that so many are optimistic of a mid year bonus. I am of the opinion that will be 0 mid year and year end bonus similar to last year

Unregistered 16-06-2021 02:31 PM

think no mid year bonus

Unregistered 16-06-2021 03:24 PM

Hoping for a 0.1 bonus just for a little morale.

Unregistered 17-06-2021 09:54 AM

1.0 month bonus

Unregistered 17-06-2021 12:56 PM

Will the announcement be made today?

Unregistered 17-06-2021 01:10 PM

Am a public servant butbsincerely hope zero mid year bonus. Does not make sense that our hawkers and local businesses are suffering but we still get bonus. Rather the money be used for grants and funds to increase their productivity/pivot to other trades etc. I hope end of year no bonus too.... at least until covid ends

Unregistered 17-06-2021 02:28 PM

Structure-wise. The reason there is mid year bonus is because we have to pay income tax in July. It is designed this way. While I am not saying Civil servants will be corrupt if there is no mid year bonus, it does reduce the probability of corruption. I believe there will be mid year bonus and also end of year. Just base on economy data alone justify this.

You must be trolling right? Hope no year end bonus. Might as well you don't work at all.
