Amount to be obtained = (no. Of days worked / 365) x 0.3 x monthly salary

Is this right?

Unregistered 19-06-2021 11:20 AM

Bragging about 0.8 months bonus. Pretty much sums up public sector.

So you are pulling in >124k TC in the civil service with 3.5 YOE? Just curious, your other friends in CS - their level of IQ got low enough to buy your story? Just leave the private sector alone la.

You want to dream of breaking in just apply silently, don’t need to bring PS into the picture every time got 0.3months bonus LOL

you are stupid enough to think that the everyone is public sector is getting paid the same. the majority of them do, but there is a small group of public sector employees on specialise scheme and you will be surprised at their package. no doubt that private sector will earn more after 6 years. but mean while at your 4th year. just admit that you are earning lesser than me. please get out of this thread since you earn lesser than me. stay salty

Difficult fr civil servants to jump to private, once in pretty much in for life.

Unregistered 19-06-2021 03:11 PM

no one is comparing the 0.8 months bonus in the public sector with the >8 month u may be getting in the pte sector. Kudos to u.

The previous posts were just referring to the trolls which claimed that public sector was expecting ZERO bonus. hahha

That poster really ********, where got fresh grad $12k.. maybe he forget puy RM in front..

It's perfectly normal for pte sector to earn more than public, no need to compare and diss each other. In fact, it'll be more worrying if it's the opposite

Unregistered 20-06-2021 08:08 PM

Overall the average or below average performer will always earn more in public sector than private sector. For above average and top performer, private sector (sky is the limit) will always pay much much higher than public sector. (Your CEP is the limit)

Don need to demean people with salary. Surely there will always be people earning more. All are just employees regardless private or public sector. It all the 8 to 12 hrs per work day kind of job.

Don't be despondent. I used to think so too, until i got accepted into MAS after working for 2.5 years in the insurance industry. I have exactly 3.5/5 second lower from NUS. It worked out for me, although i was rejected for a graduate officer role, i became an AD in MAS a few months earlier than graduate officers would have took :), a slightly faster progression.

SME says it all. Even a Malaysian in MNC will earn more than you.

So can you say that it was your 2.5 yrs experience that helped you secure the MAS job? I am a fresh grad entering the insurance industry too (no, not selling insurance). Hoping to gain some experience first and follow your footstep in future.

this is correct.. an average public officer will earn around 100k p.a at 35 YO. i am pretty sure this number is higher than the average private sector..

although there are alot many ppl earning more in private
