Will I still get to keep the PB is I tender in 1st March?

No. You will usually have to stay until 30 April of that year to receive or retain the bonus.

Because in all the years I have worked, it has always been 30 April but they can always change that date. Normal civil servants is 30 April. If you are a superscale grade officer then it's a month after that, ie. 31 May.

I get what you mean, but there was no mention of PB in the IM only SVP

Is the PB and SVP supposed to come in together with your monthly salary?

If I'm just getting my usual monthly salary in March, does it mean that I was probably not graded well enough to warrant a PB and SVP? :/

PB and SVP will be paid into your account on 24 March 2011. You will find out on 21 or 22 March 2011 the exact quantum of both.

so we will see a lot of gahment job openings in april, I guess.

How about stats board? bonus is how much for 2011? any idea any one? when will be paid?

What I have heard is we will noe how much pb n svp we will recieve on 19 mar, n the amt wil be paid out on 24 mar.

Was told i got C(1.75 mths) for performance bonus and 1 mth growth bonus. I am MX11. Anyone out there? Would like to have some indication/straw poll.

does anyone know how does the number of months (SVP and PB) translate to performance grade for MX13 officers?

C is 1.75 months? I thought C is 1 month usually?

I heard for higher MX-es C might equal 1.75 mths. Not sure about this though. More concerned with my own MX-13 :P

When i was MX13, i got C (1.5mths).

I'm MX11 now, so C(1.75mths).

yup it is confirmed, my 1.5 + 1 = 2.5mths is a C grade :(

if my boss gave me a higher grade, that means HR moderated it?

I have heard different stories regarding the criteria. Or is it all up to the individual ministries to promote even if you don't hit the requirements?

My boss told me she gave me a grade B, but my PB is only 1.5mths. Can anybody explain to me the reasons? I'm MX12.

means your boss recommended a B but the bigger boss overruled and gave a C?

But my boss said bigger boss approved the grade. Also puzzling coz my grade not stated in notificatn letter. By right, all of us shd be informed of our grades.

my performance bonuses have been like this over the past few years

and I am still MX12 and no promotion this year either. What could be the reasons why? Is there any guideline in the IM for promotion requirements? Many people who graduated same time as me reached MX11 2-3 years ago. And in my place there are cases of junior people like me with no promotion for 9 years too.

sounds like your bosses think u did a great job in current role but not capable of higher appointment. High appraisal grade low CEP ?:eek:

I was a former civil servant, not scholar. Early 30s.

A 'B' grader in my scheme for performance bonus gets 3 months. With all the other bonuses here and there, at the minimum, 6 months bonus in a year.

What scheme is that?

Don't think this is MX scheme. Possibly IO or the professional schemes.

how well does the IO scheme pay? IO means intel officer right?

performance grade is C by default.

my scheme of service does not begin with MX but it contains the number "12".

is this much lower than other ministries/stat boards ????

I got B grade - 4.1 month bonus plus a promotion to MX11 (after 3 years). Pretty happy :)

For your info, every department has a quota when dishing out performance grade. For example, in a department with 10 staff, only 1 can get "A", 2x"B", 2x"C+". 4x"C", 1x"D". There's actually a formula to determine the quota.

As long as the department meets the quota, the grade will not be moderated. However, if your boss decides to give 3 officers a B instead of 2 officers, then HR will come in to moderate it for the boss (which is not pleasant).
