This isn't a fair statement-seems too personal on your part. Also appraisal is dependent on your performance and attitude. If there is reasons to believe your RO is unfair and personal to you, highlight it to him/her and then higher up, if necessary. Since day 1 ? How long have you been around? Last resort, leave and be more open to options.

Wa work in moe cpdd not simple . Must be a senior education officer or highly flying scholar with deep expertise in subject matter? This is not any normal HQ position for a normal second upper or fch officer can enter.

PB is for last yr. Amt calculated is also based on pay as of 31st dec 2015. So if join this yr, than obviously no PB

Unregistered 30-03-2016 11:59 PM

Gosh, most including SBs made known already. Which SB or public service is yours? Most Ministries credit pb by 22nd Mar.

Unregistered 31-03-2016 09:17 PM

Very upset that im given a C- despite only joining in Oct last year. Wth.....I thought <1yr officers get standard grade one? Means I cannot stay in my company liao.

you probably got sacrificed to balance the bell curve. Doesn't affect you much financially since your PB will be pro-rated.

1)it's about the long run, the longer you work, the more you know your job and expand your experience and get higher chances of improving your grades;
2)it's also being game despite the grade and working towards visibility and higher recognition over time.
3)resilience, being a good sportsmanship. It always win.

Yes, generally true for officers less than 1 year to be ranked, hence default grading.

However, there are situations when there are reasons to deviate from the grading... Best to ask yourself how is your performance in relative to your peers.

What's your merit increment in absolute numbers?

I got 288 for MX11 C.

Relative to (high) base, I have 270, MX11, default C.

The rest, share? (Anyway, you are faceless, nameless, titleless here)

Unregistered 01-04-2016 05:22 PM

Don't understand the purpose of your question. Only think you are ignorant of timeline of Ministries. Orgns of State, SB payment timeline. Of course we would be paid when our pay day arrives. Without fail.

Unregistered 01-04-2016 09:27 PM

After reviewing my salary growth for the past 8 years, the following were observed:

a) Merit Increment (MI) is a fixed rate based on performance and CEP.

My increments were the same when I received C in 2013 and 2014
My increments were the same when I received B in 2015 and 2016

b) Promotion Increment is also a fixed rate.

My increments from MX12-MX11 (B) and MX11-MX11A (B) were the same amount.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, MI is based on PERFORMANCE AND CEP (it was in the circular). Assuming my CEP is MX10, I will get higher increment than an officer with a CEP of MX11A even if we are of the same substantive grade and given the same performance grade.

Example:

Officer A (Current Sub Grade MX11; CEP MX10) - Grade B - Increment: $3xx+
Officer B (Current Sub Grade MX11; CEP MX11A) - Grade B - Increment: $2xx+

PS: I happened to know my CEP (and reading from the many posts in this forum) hence the conclusion. Thus, it's a bit pointless to project by % increase as that is not how it calculated... Feel free to disagree.

Unregistered 03-04-2016 12:02 AM

ya its correct la...if your increment consistently below 5% then yr cep is low...if consistently above 5% then yr cep is high...cep is very important...grade less so...

Unregistered 03-04-2016 01:44 PM

Hello seniors, juz to check: i joined a stat board in feb this year. So i wun be confirmed until August this year. Am i eligible for the mid year bonus in June this year?

thanks for your insights, my case is a little strange. Got 244 MI for 2014 with a B (mx12).

this year i similarly got a B but the increment was 378 (9%)at Mx12. Is it possible that my cep was reviewed?
