Will get the same increment @75%

How is the MI calculated?

Hi, thks for the assistance. So if I get 1.5 MI , how is this calculated? Sorry just returned to full time -so lost touch with this MI calculation.

My gross pay is $6200. C for PB in 2017. So it's MI 1.5.

But how to calculate how much my MI is?

Thks so much.

Is $6200 your pay at full load or 3/4 load? Presume it’s the former so your pay at 3/4 load should be $4650?

If PB is 1.5 months, then you will get 75% of it.

Not sure what your merit increment (MI) is but you should get 75% of the increment due to your 3/4 load.

Unregistered 24-03-2018 02:11 AM

what is 3/4 load?

Unregistered 24-03-2018 08:48 AM

Poly lecturers have their pb al?

Hi,
Many thanks for replying. Appreciate it.
$6200 is my full load pay. 3/4 pay was $4650.

PB was 1.5. So MI is 1.5.
Yes, understand it is 75% of the 1.5
But not sure how much exactly my MI will be?
Could u help to calculate the figure?
1.5% means 1.5% x 4650 or 6200

1.5% means 1.5% x 4650 or 6200

Your MI is not 1.5%. It is usually a pre-determined fixed amount based on current salary grade and CEP. Your PB will not affect MI directly in any way.

Are they more senior or same batch as you? Its normal for you to get this rate when you are new. Domt worry, you will get more when probably next year or the year after and also when you go up the scale.

And I was fairing better -2005 C+, 2006 B, 2007 B so wen I didn't get promoted-I asked my P. She enquirer and they found out they had missed my name. 2008 GEO1A2

2012 maternity leave 4mths

2015-2016 NPL (childcare)
*2015-with the new grades coming in-I was changed to GEO4

2017 returned to 3/4load
2017 - C grade 1.5

Wondering how my progression is. I'm not a KP. But doing coordinatorship at the current Sch for 1yr.

Wondering if the 1A2 becoming the GEO 4 was a promotion or was it all 1A2-became GEO4

Also what r my chances of being promoted to GEO 5 anytime soon
Also what's the increment from GEO 4-5?

Thk u for answering

1A2 = GEO 4. It is the lateral change the different salary structures for graduates and non-graduate were abolished.

I would think that GEO 5 will take time since you have just returned to the service.

$374 (5.5%)

Mean your existing basic already $6800 wow.

My starting pay in GLC is $3000 in 2007.

I would need to work for 20 years + 3 promotions to hit 6.8k like you. (about age 45/46)

Yes, joined as mid career. aboout there. so after MI and promo only $374 ~ $7100.

Just wondering why so little....is it promo increment not yet reflected?

GLCs don't really pay their internal hires well unless you're a scholar.

for promotion, depend on whether you are B (6%) or C(4%) performer. is based on your basic salary at the point of time of promotion.

eg if your basic is 5000, a promotion for C performer will get only $200 only, $300 if you got B.

Hi fellow CS. Background info, 30 year old male this year. In one of the uniformed Home Affairs scheme. Non-grad, SSGT (MX13). Been getting a C, B and this year another B. Anyone care to shed some light as to whether I have met the base criteria for promotion?

I understand that apart from performance, your CEP will also play a part.

However, after telling me my PB this year, my CO mentioned that he feels i'll be getting my promotion this year, only waiting for official confirmation. The thing is, he kept emphasising that that observation was based on his gut feel. Is it true need to wait for official confirmation or he is already aware of it?

Thanks in advance. Hope someone could shed some light on how ranking and promotions are deliberated.

Why do you say that? MX10 at 35 yo seems to me a very fast progression. At current pace, there's a good chance for promotion to MX9 sooner isn't it.
