That's super high for a fresh grad...usually people have to work about 5-6 years from frsh grad to get it. Is it because of your fch? Or is a specialised role in the ministry?

32 male with NS, drawing 5 figures. Is this normal or fast for someone in the government?

Can you elaborate more? Are you under the MX scheme? Ministry or SB? Were you on some form of scholarship? I seldom hear people calling themselves "someone in the government", usually "for someone in public/civil service" or "someone in a government job".

Yea impossible for monthly pay to be so high

Because the scholars, pslp etc get more bonus but their base pay only higher because of accumulated high MIs and not likely to be 5 figures at 32 yo

But if OP meant annual pay divide by 12, I think the top 30% to 40% can easily reach that

OP here. Thanks for the helpful advice, I know where I stand now. To those saying it’s impossible, not everyone is on the same scheme, there are so many schemes in public service and it can be possible for some.
