I would encourage you to take-up the role at the SB, and consider going for a secondment in the future (to get a taste of ministry work but still enjoying higher pay since pay is paid by the stat board still). |
Emplacement in civil service means that the probation is successful and the contract is converted to full time?
|
Realised that there is a typo in my above post. I mean permanent, not full time.
I received a letter of emplacement and I am wondering if it means that I am converted to permanent from contract and also I passed my probation. |
I am a fresh grad in a ministry.
For some reason they pay the same despite Honours class (FCH and 2nd lower were offered the same starting salary). We will be getting a promotion at our 1 year mark (this is guaranteed based on the monthly update) I was wondering if this is when the differentiation starts? Is it likely that the difference will start here? Some of my colleagues claim that the raise is around 14%. Does anyone know the typical increment when they go from mx13 to mx12 after one year? |

Hi I'm currently 8 months into my one year contract in DOS. Under the MX scheme (MX12). I graduated in 2020 from local uni with a relevant degree (2nd lower), worked 3 years in private. I want to explore the possibility of going into the SN scheme as it entails more projects I'm interested in and prospects that are more inline with what I want. Anyone can help shed some light on how I should go about this? Possible to switch schemes before emplacement or need to quit and apply again(?) thanks in advance!
