Am a non-scholar in one of the specialist schemes and can confirm that this is true (especially for males with NS). If you factor in the retention bonuses etc, you will exceed 100k by late 20s.

Wanted to add - this is probably more so the case for females even without NS because they have a 2 year headstart.

Assuming:
Specialist scheme
Whole package with bonus is good to exceed 100k.

Without the above, does it mean no 100k by late 20s?

Also echoing other posters here, if you are in private sector hoping to hop over to a managerial position in a specialist scheme in your 30s, you can forget about it. You will most likely be placed at an entry level position unless you have a very specialized skillset.

25 YO grad with good grades
25 - 3.8k
annual increment of 3% (max 4)
promotion year 8% (max 10)
annual package of about 16 months

i guess all of us can count for ourselves how much you can get when u are at mid thirties and forties
typical promotion path
25 - mx13
26 - mx12
30 - mx11
35-37 - mx11a
you may stuck at 11a for very very long if you are just an average performer

Any idea what’s the average proportion of local uni Grads who will make it to mx10? If can’t hit mx10 before retiring is quite sad as mx11a salary is low.

MX11a ceiling around 8k+

assuming a 16mth (12+AWS(1)+PB(2)+Mid(0.5)+end(0.5) year bonus) package 120+k is quite ok for mid-late 30s

Tier 4. Scholars and non scholars with good performer (especially in tech) can hit 100k pa by 30. Then mostly stuck for a long time as the positions beyond are reserved for scholars.

Average performer maybe hit 100k pa by late 30s onwards...
