Its not usual for them to commit to 4 weeks turnaround and not keep it. Did you ask if there were obstacles to getting this processed? may be they could not find your record? something like that...Mine will be due next week and i will also query them. Will update.

Hi all, I recently resigned from MOE and became a full-time private tutor. May I know if anyone here has encountered parents who refused to pay up after lesson?
Mine is an online lesson, so I don't get to meet the student and parents in person. Both parent and students started ghosting me recently.
Appreciate if anyone can give me some advice on what to do with the parent.

If this was contracted through the tuition agency, then raise with agency to collect. They probably have some simple contractual agreement. If this was private arrangement, u need to show some kind of deposit or consideration the parent or student has given u. Providing a service does not mean the other party needs to pay.

Hi all, just a query. Does anybody know? On the day I hand in my resignation notice, can I also apply for adjunct teaching through REMS 2.0 to save time? Or do I need to wait for the last day of my teaching? Thanks.

its a little trickly. I cannot find the eligibility rules except in the FAQ - retired or pensionable services granted early retirement - most of us are non-pensionable & resigned even before reaching retirement. But the implied rule is that one has already left the service and therefore can be considered for FAJT services.

If you apply now and u still serving notice, there may be a point in time in the process of your application where u are still in service when they evaluate you. So, it may be better that you do it on the day after your service expired. It will be well justified and within your rights when you pursue the application status - there will be no exception excuses they can pin you down for delay of your application on the fact that your application was pre mature when all is legit and in accordance with their rules.

Hi Iaba,
Thanks for your insights. I checked with my FAJT teachers in my school just now and you are right. According to them, my application will be rejected as I am considered in-service.
