How many years of working experience do you have? And what's your degree class?

Unregistered 23-10-2021 01:42 PM

Sigh I fell for it. There’s a guy going to the other threads talking about this seed program so I came in to have a look suspecting it’s click bait.

If anyone else see this, please note:

Eligibility
Open to degree holders with 0-2 years of working experience

Studied one of these disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Info-Communications

Don't believe it when someone quotes the ridiculously high salary. Always check the stats.

More like the guy was saying anyone can get in but I’m not even in the list of eligible majors so basically this whole thread got nothing to do with me already lol.

K thanks bye

I think that was me in that other thread

bro did u read the FAQs or not?

Will i be considered if i do not have STEM Degree?
If you do not have a root degree in STEM, but have a minor/taken a few STEM modules, you are welcomed to apply.

u still have chance lol u really dont believe me? i got a friend from some maritime degree bullshat, he got into DBS SEED LOL

trust me, just apply.

if u have more than 2 YOE then maybe 0 chance, as far as I know they care about YOE mostly.

Dbs can mass hire for seed since they dont have any obligation to keep you after. If you are good they will keep you on perm and give you a good salary bump. If not, you will do the grunt work like writing tests, minor refactoring etc.. and be let go after the program, not much risk for them.

What are my chances realistically, i am a mechanical engineer with some coding experience from uni. Graduated in 2020.

it depends, if like >3-4 YOE then of course cannot, its a training program

but u can try. non STEM degree people can go in, im quite sure they're very relaxed on the requirements.

Training program that pays more than some full time jobs with 3 to 4 years experience…

Is it possible to just join on a perm role instead of through seed?

Unregistered 24-10-2021 11:16 AM

What counts as STEM?

Is BBA included

Email. they'll send u a RSVP.

Inside the RSVP they send u a form to ask u whether u can make it or not. if u say u cannot, they'll just RSVP u the next techtrek.

yeah of course provided u have relevant experience.

if u dont then SEED is a way to get in due to its mass hiring and low barrier to entry. but u may not get converted after 2 years because its mass hire...

STEM just means science, technology, engineering and math. so anything related to these fields.

actually they dont even care if u have or not. in the past, there's literature degree holders who got into SEED. u can check the FAQ, STEM degree is not a MUST.

Hmm how much easier is getting in through seed compared to a perm role then?

Obviously comparing apples and oranges.. one is a training program, the other a perm job requiring quite significant experience. They wont just hire anyone out of uni..

Just submitted an application & coding test but didn't include my official transcript in the attachment... Is it needed? should I edit the application/attach it?
