For new staff who just joined. I have colleagues asking me the same thing who joined in early Feb last year. Soo they are quite disappointed when told their PB will be prorated.

Overall, pb ranges from 1 - 3.5 months whilst overall generic bonus ranges from 1.75-2.5 months

People who get D or E don't get PB.

He is aware of his own abilities. Such workers know that they will get an average grade which is C.

We were told we will receive the PB letter by 3rd week of March, is this week considered the 3rd week of March?

Some ROs would tell their supervisees their grade before PB, some never say at all and leave the supervisees to find out for themselves, some tell during year end review. Different practices.

What your RO will tell you may not always be the grade you will get at the end.

Appraisal is a long and tedious process. After you are graded by your immediate ROs, these grades have to pass through the department system. Here, all the grades are laid out in front of the department management and different ROs will "fight" for their supervisees grades. Moderation will happen at this stage. Hence, the grade that you had started with might drop. Also, recommendations will be put forth on who should be promoted.

The next stage is to check the grades across departments within the same organisation. Here, all those who were recommended for promotion by the respective departments are discussed. There will be quotas to meet , some will be lucky while others will be unlucky, however those who are not promoted will get an above average grade.

Another meeting is also held to ensure that grades across departments within the same organisation is fair and not biased towards one particular department. This meeting is usually fast and quick as these staff are not up for promotions. There can be +- of 1 grade at this stage to maintain a bell curve.

Pb will be made known by mid-next week. If you are expecting promotion this round, pb will be attractive(additional one month to two depending on grade) all the best!

I think it increased by 0.25mths across. Im mx13, yet to be confirmed. Pb is C but bonus is 1.75mths, before proration of course. Mx11/mx11a shld share the same pb.

Highly inaccurate statement. Mx13 c grade 1.75 is Totally inaccurate. And bonus varies across mx grades. I.e. mx12 c grade will get diff quantum as mx11 c grade.

Sad to see people who dunno anything anyhow spread wrong info and cause panic and distress

I meant to say mx11 and mx 11a share the same quantum. Just like how mx 13 and 12 share the same bonus quantum. Sorry if tt wasnt clear.

As for the 1.75mths pb, this is true. No reason to lie here. Maybe someone else with mx13 this yr can verify. When were you mx13? So i take it tt there really is an increase is bonus quantum across?

Heys when will civil servants know the merit increment? It is not included in the pb letter right?

Unregistered 19-03-2016 11:13 AM

Got my letter yesterday. Grade 12, C, 1.5 pb and merit increment 8.5%

Ranking

Dear fellow cs, with the intro of 11a, would like to check if 11a-ers and 11-ers are ranked tgt? I am trying to gauge the possibility/chance of getting better grade because there are quotas for each (A,B,C) grade. Anyone with credible info? Topic may not be on Pb but related. Many thanks

Grade C merit increment 2 percent only.

8 percent increment is for grade B and better.

Unregistered 19-03-2016 11:50 AM

If pac@gov dont show means no merit increment is it?
MX13i, C+, pb.15?

Does anyone know?

probably issued by his imagination, just like how he gotten his bp and grade yesterday while the rest of the civil service got it today.

Very sad to see my PB downgrade from grade with C+ to normal C. Work like a dog and not recognised last year. weekends still burn, leave also burn. for nothing. Is there a C-?
if work so much also same PB as those who chillax, might as well don't do so much.

Why despicable pple wont die?

My apologies to all, i don mean to curse. But there is such a lousy, ball less sucker ard.
Employee works hard, at least with clear conscience that work hard. Work on weekends, stay longer hours in office. Low grade, non talkative, personality is work work work, talk less less and lesser further.

Ball less sucker treated me unfairly, just because don talk will get this hell treatment. Can tell me what went wrong. Why I said so?, pb 0.25 and C-.

C+ is counted as above average. Most probably you got B but it got moderated by the bell curve. Well, at least you didn't get C or C-.
