For those that are waiting for a reply, did you apply directly to NCS or did a recruiter contact you?

Personally, a recruiter contacted me and scheduled me for an interview with NCS for a contract job where I received the offer from them on the same day. Also, are there any other peeps here who received a contract offer from NCS? Would like to know what's the estimated salary range for the contract position. (My offer is 4.2k btw)

ah i see. depends on what other offers you are able to secure in that case. if this is your only one then i am afraid you dont really have a choice either.

do try to find out from your peers what they are getting as well.

local CS grads are getting 5.5k average, some can be up to 7-8k for faang level. ofc cannot be directly comparable but helpful for a sense of reference.

i also assume ncs did not give u any technical interview? if that is the case i would suggest you to look elsewhere as it is a big red flag for software engineering.

Suggest you apply directly. Since you are fresher, apply the nucleus program.
Don’t take up the contract role.

Definitely higher than contract. Benefits are better also..

local uni first class 5.2k, all other class 4.8k

Last I heard was SIM nucleus starting pay of 4.5k at oct 2021, then there was salary adjustment at Nov 2021 to 4.8k for local uni. So SIM grads should be 4.5 at least? Might be dependent on class also though

go and read a few pages back pls. some guy from SIM got offered contract role @ 4.2k with 13th month.

NCX is super high turn over company with toxic culture, that why u can see mass hiring, rubbish quality also accept, avoid if you can!

if don't join ncs, then go where?

other coy got 3 rounds interview, got leet code, got stupid dumb process that don't help u with job

Put if simply, yes. Better ask for higher salary. As network is the most undesirable practice with high turnover/Low manpower.

Even under nucleus program also ? They offer me 4.8k and I do not any experience in network as I would like change my career to IT sector. Previously from engineering field.

How did you get to know the offer "salary" without receiving the offer package though?

The HR told me the salary package before interview. And after interview , the Hr told me the management is process the salary package. But not sure should I take this job as the process is too fast.

well, let me quote one of the post by one of the helpful fellow peple in few pages back.

For my case, my interview was on April 2xth, and only till last week upon checking for update (Via email) then I was only told the interview went well, and I am to submit the document while they are processing the offer package

Of course, they will assigned to you to project that needs manpower.
I would say it’s decent for a start. You can learn things for 1-2 before switching company.

Has anyone tried negotiating NCS Nucleus salary before? Is it possible or is the salary fixed?
