You are so naive. You ever consider if the org chart allows for an additional AD or not? Its not always just a feel-good title only.

Hi, I am strongly considering joining a stat board. 2 years relevant experience and currently earning 4k. NUS, 2nd lower, Male.

Can anyone advice me on the starting salary I should expect / command?

Also, what's your annual package? Its a fairer comparison than just looking at monthly salary. Its usual for civil service to have an additional few months tacked on (13th month, performance bonus, economy bonus, etc.), and some private sectors have fat bonuses and others literally just a token red packet before CNY.

I'm not working in MOM but have friends who work there. From my impressions and conversations with them, I believe there is a good work life balance culture in MOM. I know of many people who have worked there for years, so either the environment is good or the pay or progression, or both. Senior Manager's grade should be MX11. I'm not sure about the salary range for MX11. But there are some posts earlier in the thread on this, and that MX11 has been split into 2 grades. If I remember correctly, it's between $4.5k and $8k.

TSS 4 Ceiling is not proportional compared to other grade

Dear Sir,

TSS 4 Ceiling is not proportional compared to other grade, any reasons :
after working so far to TSO4.

Salary Grade Different between each grade ceiling Salary Range
TSS1 $1,086.00 $5,890-7,117 / 7,118-7,728
TSS2 $919.00 $4,851-6,050 / 6,051-6,642
TSS3 $849.00 $3,738-5,061 / 5,062-5,723
TSS4 $623.00 $2,988-4,874
TSS5 $1,063.00 $2,693-4,251

So sad

Please take note bell curve grading is adopted by stat board. This system by default assumed that some employees definitely get a D grade (no increment and performance bonus). Let say all employees performance equally , but still some will get D.

No increment equal to pay cut due to inflation . Those low and middle income (below $5000) are pitiful. One to two hundreds dollar mean a lot.
