i think he is the one with 2nd upper from NUS?? 2007batch..like mention before he can hit 5k in just 5 yrs exp....

do note that in feb MX11 got +10% adjustment, april most probably he got B grade , +8% merit increment more, assume his salary in dec2011 is about 4.3-4.4k, within 6 month time frame, his salary already increment by ~18%...lol , as expect his current salary is low 5k..with annual package approx 84k+/-3k

anyone has any idea if the civil/public hr sectors are well-linked? i juz turned down an interview frm a stat board coz of disinterest (previously didnt think thru den apply). i gave a pr reply telling the hr that i have alr accepted an offer elsewhere. will they inform the other civil/public hr sectors about this, thus hampering my applications?

No they won't. There isn't a central HR and everything is decentralized. In fact, some agencies are competing with one another for talent.

source from my friend:

6 years exp with STE, just M2, ~4.8k

got 1 guy join as mid career change(previous got 10 years exp from other company) as M1, after abt 3.5yrs exp with STE hit M2, ~5.8k

another guy 15-16yr exp, when hit M2, with ~5.7k

I think M2 pay scale is from 4.5k to 7.5k ??

There is absolutely nothing wrong in turning down any offer. Also, there is no incentive for them to sabotage your applications to other companies. Don't be a paranoid lah. haha

Civil service pay brackets are pretty standard lah, if I go into MX11 early, salary is around there lor. I started at 2800 in 2007. Pretty satisfied with nearly doubling my gross pay ny next year, but compared to my peers outside, so-so only.
