Salary scale in IDA

Interesting discussion here. Im working as an IT manager in the private sector drawing 15K monthly. My experiences cover IT sales, service delivery and system implementation. If I join a stat board like IDA what level will i be hired as, and will there be a big pay cut?

Thank you

Around 10k.

Do you believe? Are you the one who keeps asking about average salaries? The answer is that apart from oil&gas, top civil service and finance, most other jobs pay normal salaries only. Can't get rich. You have to invest smartly to get ahead but you also risk losing money because all investments are about taking risks.

Qualifications? Specialist or Grad track?
Civil service looks at degree 1st, work experience comes 2nd. And although not officially written b/w on paper, age matters too.

Hi wern, thanks for the clarification.
Age 31, 4 years+ in engineering related field.
Got a good honours and master in engineering.

Any idea the work culture in MFA?

An rough gauge for civil servants' salaries is approximately 5K at 30 yr old and 7K at 40 yr old. There will certainly will be those who earn a lot more but the above range appears to be quite realistic and speaks for the masses.
