dont try it if your boss dont like u, confirm will talk badly about you and thus not be successful.

even if your boss like you if your boss dont want you to go also likely unsuccessful.

so i will say it is low chance.

Have you tried comparing your work life vs theirs? My bro and sis works in a bank and earns more than me. They don't get home till 8 pm everyday. If your skills are useful in the pte sector and work life is not impt to you, please go for it. Financially, it can be very rewarding.
