When to hear back from HR?

Hi, I have finished my 3rd interview with the director and the recruiter had already asked me for the salary expectation, etc. But so far no offer yet, it has been 3 days since the email from recruiter. May I know how long does it take to get the result (offer/no offer)?

Thanks!

Give them sometimes, the longer they reply the better.
Have more time to look for other opportunities and select the best one.

Anyone can confirm this ?

Unregistered 17-05-2022 12:29 AM

Micron gave additional 2.0% increment to all employees who joined before 01 Jan 2022.
This is in addition to the annual increment in Nov which was around 8% last year.

OT cap raised from $6.2K to $7.5K.

All fresh graduates pay $5K.

Recently implement FWA meaning can work-from-home every Friday.

Got $5 meal subsidy every workday.

IMO, I think it's good place to work after these recent benefits introduced.

Erm, hell no.

The food at F10N has been reported to be sub-par / bad. There’s a reason why nearby coffee shops are still packed with Micron workers; the company knows that the food is terrible so they subsidize it

FWA not for everyone. If you doing anything remotely close to field service, say goodbye

Graduate pay is good, but ask yourself whether you want to work yourself out for the next few years. Progression’s hard over there, you need to work a few good years to even get considered in for promotion, and you have to wear that stupid clean hazmat suit whenever you want to enter fab.

Then finish alr do what? Got learn anything useful to put in your resume meh? Those kind of skills anyone can learn lmao. You have family and there is no way you will be able to manage it.

Just jump to another company. Was offered but rejected them.

The food is cheap and after this subsidy, there are long queues everyday. Anyway, $5 x 22 days a month is $110 worth of savings.

Facilities engineers are enjoying this FWA WFH every Friday.

Facilities engineers no need to wear suit and seldom went into clean room.

Progression hard? LOL. Why do I need progression when my pay is already high and every year 8% increment is sufficient for me already. Why still need to promote and be more stressful?

Facilities skills are useful everywhere.

U jumped to which company and is it on par to compare to Micron?

When your basic pay already high and there is annual increment 8% every year, why do u need progression? LOL.

Facilities engineers very rare need to enter clean room.

Facilities skills are useful everywhere such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, data centres, building management, etc.

Which company did u join? And whether is it valid to compare to Micron?

This $5k is for engineers. I'm not sure for Technicians.

Technicians cannot WFH. They said only engineers can WFH every Friday.

Unregistered 17-05-2022 07:29 PM

But seems like all new engineers hired earlier this year haven get informed bout the increment.

Unregistered 17-05-2022 10:28 PM

Yeah, heard that others who joined before 2022 already knew the increment except for us who joined between Jan and Apr lol

Unregistered 18-05-2022 08:08 PM

I tot u will know the one time 2.5% increment is only eligible to those who join before 01 Jan 2022.

But if your current salary is below $5k, I suppose they will review your salary to > $5k.

U r from which department?

Unregistered 26-05-2022 01:51 PM

Finally gt mine hehe, tx guys

Is this 8% annual increment constant every year? And which is higher ranking? E1 or E3? Just got an offer from Micron

Shuai Ge 01-06-2022 03:54 PM

Eh how long does Micron take to process your application ah

Unregistered 02-06-2022 10:04 AM

Mine took 3-4 days since submitting application. Then they called me to arrange for interview

I heard is last year was very high at 8%.
But then I heard previous year also 3 to 5% bah, which I think also not bad.
Some companies that I worked before only 1 to 2%.

E1 is for fresh graduates
E2 is after work 1 year will promote from E1 to E2
E3 need few years experience
E4 must be very experienced

Unregistered 04-06-2022 10:31 PM

i dont understand how is this company able to keep hiring so much and paying out high salary to entry level jobs, is it because they are constantly axeing the older workers and using their high salary to pay fresh grads?

$5k is considered high for fresh graduates meh?
I think this is bare minimum for fresh graduates now for semiconductors in 2022.
