Accounting graduates of 2016 are the last cohort to qualify for CA SG under the transitional arrangement. If they are still in the Big 4, most of them are already sm. A few maybe m3.

The truth is that most OTs happens due to staff incompetency to meet timeline. In audit, the fieldwork and deliverables are already predictable enough already.

This is one of the handful of fields which require additional study after graduation. (Strike One)

It is also well known the hours are long, and toxic people are trying to disguise 3am as 'normal' when no where else in the world expects such commitment levels. (Strike Two)

And the starting salaries as published by the university graduate employment surveys shows accounting as one of the bottom 5 for NTU. (Strike Three - OUT)

Strike 4. Study so hard go ntu to be sub par after u grad. As good as dont go ntu or big 3 unit better lol.

yes I know

I am saying ICAEW have this pathway arrangement with ACCA FCCA to join ICAEW

Why can't ISCA do the same arrangement with ACCA FCCA, who knows?

Also look at Hong Kong CPA, HKICPA also allow ACCA members to join provided ACCA member took Tax paper, Audit paper. For ACCA member to join HKICPA, they need to do Capstone 4 hours exam paper will do. No need to do another 4 technical exam paper.

Local NTU, NUS, SMU fresh graduates all come from well to do family

Even they join, they will quit within 6 months because of toxic audit manager

LOL

The truth is local NTU, NUS, SMU young graduates have a lot of opportunities

They can go overseas to work

They can go work for AGO or the sector

Why join Big4 and work under a toxic audit manager?

Also, most of graduates come from well-to-do families who can quit the big4 job anytime and retire anytime because their parents are educated and can support themselves.

There is a way.. you just need to claim ICAEW exemptions from ACCA, take the final few papers, then you can RMA.
