lazy to explain just say lah. You must be those behkan managers who thinks coaching is just throwing everything to the staff and seniors and panic and kpkb when things do not go according to plan. I will make sure I pwn these stupid, lazy managers by doing the bare minimum so that you will tio kan by partner and client and hentak kaki. I know there are many beta staff who always get bullied by managers by I am not one of them.

You must be naive to think it’s coaching. Some managers really don’t know wtf is going on in the engagement that’s why they ask these seniors and associates to speak out during the meeting. There are even those managers that even agree what the seniors and associates discussed with them before the partner meeting, and scolding them when the meeting doesn’t turn well or turn as it is expected.

Dude of course I know fieldwork is our responsibility. I was referring to adhoc tasks that managers are assigned to do but they chose to throw it to their seniors to do it without guidance, such as audit proposals to bid for potential engagements or even admin stuff that their partners have tasked the managers to do it personally.

Of course I will do it. Dude if you are paid 10k you are expected to do responsibility that is worth 10k and that’s common sense LOL

Got time jjww on online forum, maybe think abt how u manage junior staffs and engagements allocated under u, cos u got that 5 figure salary for managing these well. If u ask the seniors not to complain abt fieldwork, maybe u should stop complaining abt having to tahan with overseeing multiple engagements too. Both are our job scopes right?

So far hardly anyone complain on this thread cos of doing fieldwork right? If they do just mean that they don’t like this industry and work, and nothing against the SM. But right now all off is are discussing mg : why is there a clear distinction between some SM we want work for and work with vs someone who is tras*h?

SM pay is between 9 to 15k depending on YOE and engagement portfolio. Typical if you are a male you should be hitting SM at age 33 or 34.

Yes after SM is director, but being a director indirectly means that you can’t be a partner anymore.

Zai ppl in my team leave immediately after hitting 5 years and promoted to M

Those that stay on long either die hard want to be partner (lmao) or just too cui to make the cut for a finance manager role in a good MNC, so they suck thumb continue work in big 4 as the salary is acceptable in big 4 once M and they have good maternity benefits (that’s why a lot of female mgr stay)

Tax: KPMG > Ey = Pwc > Deloitte
Audit: Ey > Pwc = KPMG > Deloitte
Risk advisory: KPMG > ey=pwc=deloitte

Industry plays a big role too, for eg
Ey audit is better for tmt, pwc audit better for financial services

Hi guys can someone give me advice. I got
2 offers, 1 for big 4 auditor another for grabfood driver. Grab pay significantly more and got more recognition and better exit ops but progression almost non existent. Should i suffer now
and join big 4 be partner?

Was in the same position as you. I decided to go be a safe distancing ambassador instead of Big 4 auditor. Try to pivot out of accounting if you can. Best is if can pivot from audit to cleaner but a lot of competition currently. Best of luck bro

But bad thing about asia Square is the food court is so expensive that auditors won't be able to afford it. Have to walk to at least Shenton house side to tapao.
