I feedback to my poly lecturers. I told them to find better internship partners and dont brainwash people to go into big4. I even told them that big4 cannot compared to the years before. U see so many audit failures... So many incompetent people auditing big companies? Last time i heard the most prestigious firm is Arthur andersen....., but now if we go thr, it is known as trash lol. I even feedback to them to get those big companies like MBB, bulge bracket banks LOL. I know they dont take in poly students but if my poly manage to get this partnership, it will definitely boost their reputation. Dumb lecturers work in sch too long and dk about the industry now. |

ermm.... U have to factor the time value of money. There is a theory "bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush". If u get high starting pay for fresh grad, after 10 years, the difference in the pay can accumulate to huge amount of money. High starting pay also means = more employer CPF. All these interest compounding is powerful for 10 years.... Late game for audit is not necessarily better in comparison to early game winners. |

, Waste their time and effort to train us from the start we don't even have any knowledge what so ever.. They could easily get fresh grad to do internship for them who are so much more knowledgeable. |

Around 5 years to catch up to peers outside in terms of monthly pay. Around 8 years to catch up in terms of cumulative pay. 10+ years to catch up after factoring time value of money. Meanwhile I going Japan, Korea, US, while you working to 10pm. |
Agree with the late game hero analogy. But let’s be real - Gen Z prefer strong consistent heroes over late game heroes.
Very few other jobs require you to work long hours while taking professional qualification. |
Audit is statutory driven not market driven so what do you expect to get from big 4

With ur mindset, then how are those students gonna gain experience? Everyone has to start from ground zero what.. I hate those recruiters say that those jobs are entry level but requirement states 2 year’s experience needed. Like wtf? |

I’m more curious why you want to know? To compare with your firm? Or to take the knowledge and stir news? |
