Therefore every CS grad who applies to SEED will get 6k monthly base.

Impeccable logic.

LMAO, just imagine replying to your own messages on a forum. People have a life, unlike sore losers like you who have so much time to reply to their own messages. I can confirm you are the lowest lifeform right now.

1. Calling things you dont understand nonsense.
2. Lying abt urself being in seed when you got rejected and still on this thread comforting yourself
3. No life

Seeder? I have yet to accept the offer and still on this thread, unlike you, who claims that you are in seed and lurking around on this thread. Getting so butthurt after i got everything correct? Pls stop downgrading yourself further and sound like an 8 yr old kid.

Also pls your logic sounded like u barely passed ur math major in some private uni. "OH, im not from cs here so no one else is cs here", "OH, i found 10 dollars when it rains, therefore i will find 10 dollars when it rains in the future". Idk where you inferred all these logic from, but if you find 10 dollars in the past when it rains you increase something called the confidence level in finding 10 dollars when it rains in the future.

Oops, this is nonsense to you and arguing with u further will just dumb me down to ur level. Yes, no one is from CS here and everyone including you that is not from CS are getting 5k fixed a mth in dbs seed.

Probably the same guy but oh pls, dbs is one of the top 10 searches for cs grads from statistics. Those that are highly sought after have already signed off contract with their intern company which is not 'real tech firm' like u all non cs grads will say. If you think money is everything, you probably not even that smart to get into CS in the first place. Pls la avoid DBS? Theres probably like 100 of us each year from nus/ntu excluding foreigner, you dont see us often here doesnt mean we are avoiding dbs. Also, basic number sequence shows our pay will increase. Why so sore abt it? I have experienced spam calls from recruiters before every 5 mins internationally till I had to change phone number and I know every CS grads are highly sought after. Pls la if you dont have evidence to support your claims go and get a life. Clearly, you are one of the CS wannabes for our salary, thats why you are here.

businesses are not charities

in the past the gov poured all the money into biotech with lack lustre results

where do you think they're focusing now?

Apply lor see if they reply u. Think have seen some SIM grads with some coding internships at startups before joining. They will ask you some leetcode questions at the start and web dev during the hackathon. Usually, ppl from STEM does better and it is quite competitive.

You can put in your resume the web projects you have done on ur resume. If u have 3 yrs of experience, i think you can finish the hackathon by yourself lol. But before that you need to learn data structures and algorithms, i think they made the questions harder.

I asked and they called me back, anyway I heard they said sth abt removing the 1 year contract and changing sth abt the IMDA subsidy? Was at a meeting when i received the call so didnt hear properly but generally i think they are improving the offer and need a few days for their higher up to approve.

I think they changing the offer to be perm and and probably secured more subsidy from IMDA? The HR that called me had a very bad sore throat, maybe you can call again.

I was quited rush cuz I have other job offers I need to get back to, so the HR called me back urgently to most likely tell me abt the improvements. I will most likely join banking cuz its inflation proof. Lots of businesses are not doing that well haiz.

It's good if you can get into software dev team and not devops or info sec.

When I joined I couldn't choose my first team so I got put into devops. Damn fking boring, useless Jenkins ******** that I don't care about. Left after a year cause they wouldn't let me rotate.

Pay is not bad. Benefit back when I joined was $600 yearly. Not sure what is it now. Mine was also 1 year instead of 2 so I just left after a year.

Thanks for sharing this. Is there WLB and do seeders really get to learn a lot during the program?

WLB is dependent on the team you get put onto. Some suck ass, 8 am to 6-7pm kind of thing, others like 8.30 to 5.30, fridays 8.30 to 5pm, etc.

I don't know about "learning a lot", I can tell you this, I barely learned anything... I had friends in Software dev team, they also didn't learn much. Mostly just frontend things that you can find on boot camps online. I'm not sure about the info security side.

My advice is this, if you're a non-cs grad then join this. Why? because this program gives you an opportunity to join DBS as a full-time tech associate after your 2 years. Even if you don't make it after 2 years, you would still have a "relevant" working experience that can help in landing other tech roles in different companies despite your degree being irrelevant.

If you're from SIM, feel free to join this. There's plenty of SIM grads who are now working full-time at DBS. I can link a few Linkedin profiles if you want proof for whatever reason... ( I just google lol but anyway ) it's good because other tech companies won't accept SIM grads. Shopee, Bytedance, etc for example, they straight up filter out SIM grads in resume application stage...

but once you get a few YOE, companies stop caring about what degree you have.

So this SEED program is great for building your foundation IF you're not a cs grad from local uni.

Unregistered 10-04-2022 05:02 PM

Is the workplace at changi? How many seeders r there in a team?

Do we get to know which role/team we assigned to when we receive the offer or only on first day of work?

They wont tell you before you accept the offer because then you would obviously not take it if it's some shitty team.

So yeah you'll find out either on first day or few days before.

Tysm for the reply! Do they assign role/team based on our indicated interest/skills or randomly?
