Never heard anyone get that low before. |

How are increments this year? My colleague got 2% but another guy claimed he got 10%. Plus 2 mth's bonus on top of that. Sure bo?
|
Can anyone share what's the hierachy like for non tech role?
Associate or Specialist which is a higher position? |
these days got no more shopee employees bragging about their stock options anymore?
how much are these stock options even worth now with so much of the compensation tied up in the stock and the freefall of the share price, worth it? |
MCF states that the MA programme for shopee starts at 6k, is that true?
How is the bonuses and salary progression like for this program anyone knows? |

So they can apply employment pass for these people |
To anybody reading this thinking about joining Shopee,
DON'T. I am a current employee but I am on my way out (thank goodness). I'm sure everyone is aware of Shopee cutting out all sorts of benefits in addition to the layoffs. They are also pushing down employee grades at performance reviews, and stalling promotions by constantly moving goalposts and requesting for more for the employee to "prove themselves". Even if you receive a high starting salary, expect it to taper off because it won't increase by much in the following 2-3 years. Not worth it at all. |

Only thing that sucks is WFO is more mandated even though office space is incredibly limited. |

Use your fancy degree to actually create something useful and productive for mankind la. Even oil and gas is far more productive to society than say, shopee or tiktok. Now with tech winter killing all the hype and unrealistic valuations around these companies, people are finally seeing these frivolous businesses for what they are. |

You say that while you're also contributing to nothing by posting blatant lies on this forum and misleading people. Maybe get off your high horse and recognize that you're not a saint in any way whatsoever. In fact, you being a Singaporean, I dare say is already detrimental to society in general given the fact that you have contributed absolutely nothing, not even to your own country. People join these companies for 2 reasons. Brand + money. With brand you can move up higher, to bigger companies that are outside of Singapore. With money you can move up in property / environment, away from the delusional singaporeans, just like you tbh. |

Lolol imagine studying hard to get your computer sci degree, just to work for a chinese internet sweatshop. and all because they're throwing a few more RMB your way. when/if you have kids, i'm sure they will be ashamed that daddy or mommy codes for "tiktok" or "chinese online shopping mall". |
Idk about you but I think shopee has brought a lot of benefits to most singaporeans.
Cheaper prices than retail, easy to shop and order multiple items from home, decent delivery to houses. TikTok has its share of mindless content, but there are plenty of motivational content on the platform as well such as disabled people sharing their experiences etc. If these products were truly not bringing any value, they would have long been killed by market forces long ago |

You're unfunny and lame, like most Singaporean net users. My kids will be ashamed I work at Chinese company... like what? That's the best you got? Jesus. No wonder your country is used as a stepping stone by Indians, properties are bought up by Chinese richest people because they know you guys are too much of a push over to do anything. |

Nice try with the "unfunny and lame" retort. My comment wasn't meant to tickle you. It was meant to make people here wanting to join frivolous businesses, self-reflect. |

But at least they actually offer some value, unlike tiktok which is active brain cancer. If everyone working there died tomorrow, gen Z mental health would instantly improve |

Can't blame garbage companies for your stupidity little bro. |

Anyone knows how the exact salary is determined for fresh grads? Ie will a FCH from NUS automatically get you 6k, or must you push the HR?
