End up I also left. As there was no one to take over me, my tasks were split among the rest of the team, giving them back their actual responsibilities. The research part was given to their favourite newly promoted high-flier FCH M1. After I left I realised how much I was underpaid. My responsibilities were all from M2 and M1 engineers but I was paid as E5. My new position isn't the highest paying out there, but I know I'm definitely paid more fairly than before at ST. These old timers refused to plan for succession. One day when many of them were to retire, there will definitely be chaos because they have to either parachute army officers in or promote current staff to middle and senior management without much experience. Probably they will solve the issue with another reorganisation. It will also be the time they wake up from their cushy jobs. |

Should just act average and slack then you won't get much work. You hero want to show skills. Obviously they will give to people with skills. Keep to survival in ST is don't be below average. Just average can liao. Don't overwork. Then just be nice to your old seniors can liao. You can't get promoted with intellect and hardwodk. |

It's "be average, good enough" |

I know you are very clever, probably earning big bucks way more than I am, but no need to call people dumb especially when you have no insight into all the backstories. |

maybe the threadstarter of that thread is like that, that's why he said he has no progression my avg increment at CS is way better than mine at ST last time overall annual package also much better |

Just like ST Electronics doesn't exists anymore. I can tell alot of troll don't work here. Just spreading fake news. |

All those head hunted are chosen cause they are supposed to have leadership quality or connection to the other side... With that connection, hopefully can work closely with the other side to smooth cooperation. But usually they just retire here. Don't really contribute much and the only thing keeping them here is their connection. So they failed to bring in business. But they are given entitled Senior manager high management role. Perm job. Very hard to justify paying 10 to 15k to those managers but they don't really add any value. So end up we detest all this managers. Then when their time is up. They just move to another division to wreck havoc. With even higher pay... While the engineers forever stay as cheap labor.. That my friend is the world of ST. You rarely see people rise up thru promotion. Its usually just they transfer someone who was already promoted to another function. Then can't really pefrom in that role... Promoted and shift to another unit.. |

Love this place so much you miss it ah? Just go away. ST is a good place to work. I know some colleagues. We still buddy buddy |

Same building. Same address. Same people. Only difference is the management might change abit. Or those selected to replace are also groomed from the same flock. ST will only truly transform when the pioneer management all retire.. Until then this company is still being controlled by all this stuck in between old generation and new generation |
Any news of bonus

in 2021 - expected (get back the lag 3% , and the 3% for 2021), ie, monthly salary x 1.03 x 1.03 |

I also wonder if management take 20% pay cut. Then salary freeze.
Does it mean when it's back to normal their salary bump up to 26%? |
