but do note that, the MX12 ceiling is like 5.8k so unless they going to promote you in 1-2 years time.. u will struck there...

Typically at what MX12 salary would they consider you for promotion?

Yes. Got chance. But grade 9 to 10 is a quantum leap n require significant justification. Ur div got estab for SM anot also plays a part.

No such thing. Either you meet the criteria to promote or not. Or if you lucky, next grade got urgent vacancy then you go up.

If you don't perform or your boss THINK you are not preforming, you can hit your pay cap and still don't get promoted for years.

Sounds scary. How is the yearly increment like usually for average performer?

Thanks all for sharing. Understand LTA recently has a new talent development scheme intended for succession planning. I was not selected to be under this scheme. So I assume that my chances of getting promoted to grade 10 is much lower.

2011 - MX 13 (Joined ministry), Age 26
2012 - MX 12 (Confirmation Promotion)
2013 - MX 12
2014 - MX 12
2015 - MX 11 (Promotion)
2016 - MX 11
2017 - MX 11A (Promotion)
2018 - MX 11 A, Age 34 , Gross - S$8500

Gross includes bonuses? If not, the salary seems rather high.
My progression is about the same althot I have 1 year less experience, but certainly not earning as much or even near.

Based on my experience, HR told me promotion will be based on my performance in the new agency. However, from what I understand, your CEP from the previous agency will stay with you. So if you maintain consistent good performance, I guess you stand a chance to be promoted in your new agency.

Confirmation

I read hr policy that i wont get my mac bonus for this year if i am still on probation by the end of jun.
My probation ends on first week of july, anyone know is there any chance it can end 1 week earlier (in jun)?

Unregistered 29-01-2019 07:49 PM

I got about 4.5% salary increment when I got emplaced after a year..is this typical?

Movement Policy

Hi, I am offered a position under movement policy. The new HR says it will be under contract and there is a pay cut. I had assumed under this policy, I would be offered a permanent position and minimally same pay. Am I being conned by a ignorant HR?
