i think his cep is quite good. he been telling us he is constantly getting the excellent band. That why he cannot take it this time when he got the same band but such sucky "promotion increment" while the rest of us are just good and very good haha ...

Sometimes I think it is better to study and interview for a HR post and screw everyone up. I mean they are doing it now. LOL.

So many permutations in respect of Time, Grade, Salary, Salary ceiling, Performance.

Some with great performance and a more decent grade with greater responsibilties but a mere increment.

Some with slightly off performance with a better grade with lesser responsibilities but a very very decent salary.

exactly man! a number of lecturers are already looking out for greener pastures since its not that relaxing anymore .. with the increasing CET courses coming in ... just the irritating 3 months notice

As far as I know for those promoted from ips5 to ips6, the difference is less than $600, after long wait for the hard earned promotion, u will hit the ceiling in about 2 years.
I wonder the HR or the person that introduced ips considered this at all. Don’t make any sense at all.

yeah sia .. the IPS range from IPS6 to 7 is totally ******** .. He also shared that the director give his the letter personally and told him that the ~3% increment is a poly wide movement ..

not sure how true is that but he is definitely looking out already haha

Yes increment onwards is (2-4%) $120-$300
Seems IPS system is worse off than old PAX system (5-12%) $350-850

It is just 60 - 80 dollars more than merit increment.

Sad case for people below IPS 7.
I have seen young generation hired as IPS7/8 with self proclaimed years of experience.

Designation in ITE and Poly
 
IP5 - Assistant Manager
IP6- Assistant Manager
IP7 - Assistant Manager
IP 8- Deputy Manager
IP 9- Deputy Manager

Going through several interviews now at the respective ITE and polytechnic. Is the above correct? How come IP8 is not manager but a deputy manager? Strange no?

IPS5 is not Assistant Manager is Fresh Graduates

Different place different title. Important is the offer.
IPS8 is already Senior Manager to Deputy Director level
How experience & qualification u got?

Understand that there is always a market adjustment every 2 to 3 years? Can only hope they do smth to those pple below IPS7 is compensated for it. Else it's quite sad to see passionate pple leaving..

Anyone has any idea if this year will have some adjustment? Heard the last round 2015 no change haha

IPS12 11320-15282
IPS11 8330 - 11660
IPS10 7470 - 10085
IPS9 6450 - 9060
IPS8 5660 - 7800
IPS7 4900 - 6800
IPS6 4240 - 5870
IPS5 2800 - 5300
IPS4 2548 - 4251
IPS3 1811 - 3346

Every level has at least 905 gap increase except for IPS5 to IPS6 which is 500+

People who are IPS6 and lower are getting little increment and promotion increase and will reach ceiling within 1-2 years.
The system is obviously flawed or meant to force employees to leave because no increment.

They need to review and change the system.
