I received the offer on 10 March, submitted the docs for background check by 11 March.

My status on taleo shows selection, just updated today. So maybe it’s still in progress I hope.

If I not wrong, it takes 1 to 2 weeks for background check. I'm not sure whether they contact your referrers, but for fresh graduate, most only to internship during the break. Nothing much for DBS to check on your employment. It should be quite straight forward.
