Anyone applied for DSTA position before? Anyone knows what is the time between pre-clearance status to being shortlisted for interview?

Chances are quite Low.. they got quota for perm staff. If u damn lucky then u will be offered as their perm staff or else will be a perm contract . So basically we all working hard for a contract renewal lol .

If I were you, I would just give up on pursuing a career in the government sector since it is NOT worth the time to pursue a contract job with "quite Low" chances for permanent conversation. Don't waste your time here. You will be much happier outside that offers, in relative, higher job stability, greater work-life balance, and better job security.

Yes, who wants to join the government sector anyway. The better ones go to the private sector instead. The original OP better think twice before you regret for life.

A question regarding background check in civil service

Will they call and inform my existing employer if I am currently working in private sector? Or will they just ask for latest payslip?
Supposed I am verbally offered and they would like to conduct refereee check , as well as others

But she didn’t verbally offer me n also have yet to go for medical. I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks since the de last I have given her these info. Have also finished all interviews.

Currently are you with a SB, or Min? And do you wish to move on to another SB, or Min?

Around 1 month, but then 1 month suddenly seem normal after reading back the previous posts. Cause processing the application somehow means to me that HR may have better choices or they haven't finalized their decision. So pretty worried that I may not get the offer in the end.
